EVOCA

EVOCA
This self-taught street artist was born in Dominican Republic, where he spent his childhood drawing on walls and playing baseball, and has been living since he’s 11 years old in Florida, always tried to combine his draughtsman skills with his will of social commitment. His nickname so refers to the Spanish word “evocar” (to evoke) and expresses his wish to mobilize through the emotion the public consciousness about the difficulties the impoverished people have to face. A great example of that can be seen in his ”Running With The Wolves” mural where Evoca1 symbolizes the struggle of a homeless against the society some wolves represent. This one aims to protect what is the most important to him, in this case a lamb.
